Matthew Kupstas

Bio

Matthew Kupstas, a premier clogger of his generation, is the Artistic Director for the Davis & Elkins College Dance Collective based out of Elkins, West Virginia. He toured for several years with the renowned Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble and has performed as a guest dancer with Nickel Creek, Uncle Earl, Tao Rodriguez-Seeger, Chris Thile & Michael Daves and The Gibson Brothers. He has performed in the US, Canada, and Europe. Matt won two world clogging championships with the Bailey Mountain Cloggers in 2006 and 2007 and has taken home awards from several prestigious flatfooting competitions in North Carolina and West Virginia. He also played banjo, mandolin, and guitar with the Fourth Street String Band.
