2017 Housing & Meal General Info

Important note about dorm housing on campus:

  • On- campus housing in the dorm is non-transferable and refunds for cancellations must meet the guidelines stated below.
  • Dorm housing must be purchased 12 days before the start of the week you are attending.  Please see the timeline table below.  Dorm housing will not be available after the deadline date.
  • Dorm housing includes your meal card for the week.
  • Prices for housing and meals include all applicable taxes.
  • Floors are coed.
  • Bathrooms are shared, single sex bathrooms.
  • Due to campus renovations, several different dorms will be used for housing this summer.
  • All summer weeks involve 6-night residence hall stay (Check-in Sunday and Checkout Saturday by 11 a.m.).
  • Important! Check out from the dorms for is Saturday by 11a.m. for ALL weeks.  This includes Old-Time Week and Vocal Week.  Davis & Elkins College students begin arriving on Sunday morning so we have a quick turnover of the dorms this year. If you plan to stay for the Augusta Festival, you will need to make other arrangements for housing and meals for Saturday.
  • During the summer program, housing arrangements for Graceland Inn & Conference accommodations are made by contacting Graceland directly at 304-637-1600. Graceland room prices do NOT INCLUDE meals, however, a meal card may be purchased in the Dining Hall or meals may be purchased individually.
  • Important! Reservation payments for residence hall housing may not be transferred to the Graceland Inn and Conference Center. If you are on the waiting list for a room at the Graceland Inn and Conference Center there, we suggest you wait to book a dorm.

Important note about meals on campus:

  • We encourage you to purchase meal cards online, in advance.
  • Meal cards may also be purchased in the Dining Hall on Sunday night and Monday morning.  Meal cards will not be available for purchase in the Augusta office.
  • Meals may be purchased individually, if preferred.
  • Prices for housing and meals include all applicable taxes.
  • The Dining Hall accepts cash and credit cards.
  • Meal cards will have a magnetic stripe and will be issued by the D&E Information Services Department.  Please note that there will be a $15 fee payable to the Augusta office for lost meal cards.  Replacement cards are available Monday through Friday at times announced at the orientation session.

Cancellation and refund information for both tuition and housing:

If you register and find you are unable to attend, you must notify the Augusta office by letter or email.

  • Class tuition is due in full at the time of registration.
  • Mini-course tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Students are not permitted to cancel by phone.
  • Cancellations must be received by letter or email.
  • For cancellations received by close of business Friday, four weeks prior to the program start date, Augusta will retain ¼ of the full tuition and/or housing price. (4:30 PM Eastern – 30 days prior)
  • No refunds for cancellations received after close of business Friday, four weeks prior to the program start date. (4:30 PM Eastern – 30 days prior)
  • Cancellations received after business hours are automatically considered “next day.”
  • No refunds for cancellations on or after Sunday check-in or for an early departure.
  • All registrations are non-transferable to other students or to future year’s classes.
  • If Augusta must cancel a class, the student will be notified and issued a full refund of tuition and housing costs.
  • Augusta reserves the right to review each cancellation individually.

All refunds must be requested in writing by letter or email.

If you are not staying in the residence halls, you may purchase one of the following options.

  • 17 Meal Card. Includes all meals you will need during your stay – Sunday dinner on arrival; breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Friday; Saturday brunch.
    • Non-transferable. Non-refundable.
    • $182 (includes WV sales tax).
  • 20 Meal Premier Card. Includes 20 meals during your stay. This card may be shared and is good for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
    •  Non-refundable.
    •  May be used for any 20 meals.
    •  May be shared.
    • $195 (includes WV sales tax).
  • Lunch only card. Includes  Monday through Friday lunches plus Saturday brunch.  Provides the convenience of dining on campus.
    • Non-transferable. Non-refundable.
    • $55 (includes WV sales tax).
  • Pay as You Go
    • Breakfast: $7.50 (includes WV sales tax).
    • Lunch: $9.50 (includes WV sales tax).
    • Dinner: $10.50 (includes WV sales tax).

Credit cards are accepted for payment of meal cards but cannot be used at the door. There is an ATM on the first floor of Madden Center near the rear door leading to Graceland.

Residence Hall Housing (includes meals):

  • A discounted early bird rate on housing is available until June 1st  only.
  • Housing in Davis & Elkins College residence halls is available only for students enrolled in full-time Augusta classes and for paying chaperones of students under 18 (first-come, first-served basis).
  • An adult rooming with his/her child will not be placed with an additional non-family member roommate unless the adults make the request. If 1 adult and 1 child share a room, each pays full price. All multiple roommates pay for housing.

Residence Hall Pricing For All Weeks:

  • Double Occupancy – $415 per person if paid before (early bird deadline date / see above). $455 per person if paid after (early bird deadline date / see above).
  • Single Occupancy  – $555 per person if paid before (early bird deadline date / see above). $595 per person if paid after (early bird deadline date / see above).
  • Includes all meals from Sunday dinner through Saturday brunch.
  • Prices include all taxes and fees.
  • Housing fees must be paid in full when you register for housing. You may register for housing when you register for your class OR at a later date.
  • Housing in Davis & Elkins College residence halls is available only for students enrolled in full-time Augusta classes and for individuals who have paid to register as chaperones and guests.
  • An adult rooming with his/her child will not be placed with an additional non-family member roommate unless the adults make the request. If one adult and one child share a room, each pays full price. All multiple roommates pay for housing.
